Sep 15, 2010 BBC iPlayer Removed from Android TV : AndroidTV Sony Bravia. Hi guys, I hope I'm posting this to the right place! If you watch a BBC channel and press the red button and navigate to iPlayer, the app will actually launch and although it looks a bit dodgy when it runs as an overlay, I'm pretty sure it's the same app we had before. My parents have a Bravia KDL-32W653A, with Firmware PKG4.600EUA installed. For some time now, after starting the BBC's iPlayer from the SEN menu, the app just shows the iPlayer logo and a 'loading' state. Nothing else happens. I've reported this to the BBC already, with the following response:
